Having given up on getting some kind of cool retro telephone from the old days, because everyone else wants one too so retailers, eBay and even the charity shops have made them really pricey, we decided to just get a cheap one so that we have a phone, seeing as we’ve been paying for the line for the past 5 months. Somehow, when we got to Argos, (the obvious choice for discount electrical appliances) I managed to convince Tom that we might as well get this Hello Kitty phone, which was just £1 more than a boring plain white phone. He said he would have thought differently about it if we’d realised as we did when we got home and unpacked it that it’s not white, as it appears on the box, but is in fact pink. Oh well, too late.
